“Beni Swa Leternel,” they sang. “Blessed be the Lord.”
I read this article today in the NY Times. It paints a picture of the streets of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The chaos, confusion, agony and death, but admist the ruin people in the streets are heard singing, "Beni Swa Leternel," "Blessed be the Lord."
The human spirit is amazing--especially for those who can still say "blessed is the Lord" after all that has happened to them. I wonder how many Americans would do that!
